1 Who We Are

IntelliTools AI ("we", "us", "our") is a free AI-powered productivity platform available at intellitoolsai.app. We provide 50+ AI tools spanning education, coding, content analysis, file conversion, and trading — alongside a blog system, course platform, and a gamified achievement dashboard.

This Privacy Policy applies to all services provided under the IntelliTools AI brand, including our website, tools, blog, and courses.

2 Data We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you register, we collect:

• Username — your chosen public display name
• Email address — used for account verification and password reset
• Password — stored as a secure cryptographic hash (never plain text)
• Optional profile fields — full name, bio, and avatar image

2.2 Activity Data

For authenticated users, we automatically record:

• Which AI tools you use and how long each session lasts
• Which blog posts you read (tracked after a minimum reading time)
• Which courses you watch (tracked after a minimum watch time)
• Your daily login dates for streak and activity calendar tracking
• Comment and like actions on blog posts

2.3 Content You Create

• Blog posts you author (title, content, images)
• Comments you post on blogs
• Reviews / testimonials you submit
• Courses and course videos you upload

2.4 Technical Data

We may collect basic server-side technical information including:

• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Referring URL
• IP address (used for security and abuse prevention only)

2.5 Data We Do NOT Collect

• Payment or financial information (no purchases are currently required)
• Location data beyond IP address
• Microphone, camera, or device sensor data
• The content of documents, code, or files you process in our tools — tool inputs are processed client-side or ephemerally and are not stored

3 Activity Tracking & Trophy System

IntelliTools AI features a gamified engagement system that rewards users with trophies for meaningful platform use. Understanding this system helps you understand why we track activity data.

3.1 How Activity Tracking Works

When you are logged in and visit a tool page, blog post, or course video, a background session is opened. Our ActivityTracker script measures how long you spend on each page and sends periodic updates to our server.

Minimum thresholds are enforced — sessions shorter than the following are discarded and do not count toward your stats:

Deduplication — each unique blog, tool, or course is counted only once per user, regardless of how many times you visit. This prevents any form of stats gaming.

3.2 Trophy System

Trophies are automatically awarded when your cumulative stats cross predefined milestones. The data used to calculate trophy eligibility includes:

• Total unique AI tools used
• Total unique blog posts read
• Total unique courses completed
• Total days of platform activity
• Current login streak (consecutive daily logins)
• Number of users you referred to the platform

3.3 Data Minimisation

Activity session records are stored solely to power the trophy and dashboard features. They are not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose other than calculating your personal achievements.

4 How We Use Your Data

• Provide the service — authenticate your account, render personalised content, and deliver tool results
• Achievement system — calculate streaks, earn counts, and award trophies on your dashboard
• Communication — send account verification emails and password reset PINs
• Security — detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity
• Platform improvement — aggregate, anonymised analytics to understand which tools are most useful
• Advertising — display ads through Google AdSense to support the free platform (see section 5)

5 Advertising & Google AdSense

IntelliTools AI uses Google AdSense to display advertisements on the platform. Google AdSense may use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to serve personalised ads based on your browsing behaviour across websites.

5.1 What Google AdSense Collects

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses the DoubleClick cookie (and other cookies) to serve ads based on your prior visits to IntelliTools AI and other websites on the internet. For personalised ads, Google may use:

• Browsing history and interests (cross-site)
• Location data (at country/region level)
• Device and browser information
• Interaction data with ads (clicks, impressions)

5.2 Opt-Out Options

6 Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

• Google AdSense — Google may receive cookie and browsing data for ad delivery and personalisation, subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• YouTube (Google) — Course pages may embed YouTube videos. YouTube may set cookies and collect analytics data (e.g. watch time, interactions) even for embedded videos, subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We use the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain where possible.
• Service providers — We use Gmail SMTP (Google) to send transactional emails. Your email address is transmitted to Google solely for message delivery under their standard terms.
• Legal obligations — We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
• Business transfer — In the event of a merger or acquisition, user data may be transferred, with appropriate notice.

7 Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a relational database on our server. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Passwords hashed with Django's PBKDF2-SHA256 algorithm
• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Session tokens stored in HTTP-only cookies
• Password reset tokens limited to 15 minutes and invalidated after use
• CSRF protection on all state-changing requests

8 Cookies & Local Storage

We use a minimal set of first-party cookies and browser storage, plus third-party cookies set by Google AdSense. See our full Cookie Policy for details.

• Session cookie — maintains your logged-in state (deleted when you close your browser or log out)
• CSRF token — a security cookie that protects against cross-site request forgery
• Dark mode preference — stored in localStorage, never sent to our server
• Activity session ID — a temporary in-memory identifier used to correlate front-end activity with back-end sessions; not persisted between page loads
• Google AdSense cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie, used by Google to serve and personalise advertisements

9 Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — Update incorrect or incomplete information via your dashboard profile settings
• Erasure — Request deletion of your account and associated data

10 Children's Privacy

IntelliTools AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. For significant changes, we will notify registered users by email.
